Why: On the 31st of Jan, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority gave final approval for the dumping of 3 million cubic metres of ocean floor, to be dredged and then dumped within the Reef World Heritage area. This was approved by Greg Hunt in December, 2013.
